MHS Cheerleading Clinic

One of the reasons I love living in Meridian is that Ella Kate gets to experience a lot of the same things I did when I was growing up here.  When I was little I always went to the Meridian High Cheerleading clinics.  So this year she and her friends were all old enough to go.  They had a blast.  And they even get to cheer with them at this Fridays football game.  I can't wait!  My sisters and I were all cheerleaders at Meridian High so it will be really special to see her out there.  Tear Tear :)
They are all growing up way too FAST!

Magazine Article

Remember me telling you that Ella Kate's birthday party was going to be featured in our local magazine?  Well, it finally came out last week.  Here are some pictures from it.  I thought the article turned out great!!  You can also visit this website to read the entire thing.  Enjoy!

First Soccer Game

Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since my last blog, we've been busy around the Autry household!!  Ella Kate had her first soccer game last weekend.  She did such a GREAT job and even scored TWO goals!!  She loves it!!  She asks me every day when her next game is.  I think we might have a little athlete :)
FYI... She wears the number 8 (the same number I wore playing soccer!)  SO MUCH FUN :)

Could it get any better than this?

It's finally time for MSU football.  This is my FAVORITE time of year!  There's no better place on Earth than Starkville on a beautiful Saturday!  And that's just where we were the whole day.  The kids had such a great time.  It's so much fun to see them run and play.  And of course, RING THOSE COWBELLS :)  We tailgated all day long, then went to a great game.  We haven't experienced anything like that in a LONG time.  It was fantastic!!  Way to go Bulldogs!!

Notice his monkey GEORGE (he even had an MSU jersey for the game)

It was a WHITE OUT!!  Our family was definitely ready :)

And we also celebrated my mom's 60th Birthday while we were there.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMI :)  I made a sign to put on our tailgating tents and I also made shirts for everyone that read "Happy 60th MIMI!" on the front and "We love our Bulldogs" on the back.  You can't see it very well in the pictures.  Overall, it was such a great day!  Can't wait for Thursday night!!

My mom is the one in the "60" shirt!!

Ella Kate's "All About Me" Week

Ella Kate's class has an "All About Me" Week at school for each child in her class.  This past week was All about Ella Kate.  We had to make a poster with pictures for her to take.  We also had to take snacks each day.  Since they were studying the Letter C, I made sure each snack started with that letter :)

On Thursday, she got to chose someone special to come read a book to her class.  And guess who she wanted?  Her Papaw of course!!  He was SUPER excited.  I made him read "The Cat in the Hat"(again because they were studying the letter C) and wear the Dr. Seuss hat.  (I truly didn't have to make him do it)  If you know my dad, he loves doing this kind of stuff.  Now you know where I get it from :)  Here are some pictures from the special day!!  Thanks Papaw for being such a great sport.  I know Ella Kate and her classmates loved it :)

P.S.:  PEPAW, GET READY FOR JANUARY!  SHE WANTS YOU TO COME READ TO HER NEXT :)
